Good afternoon!

Just in case you didn’t know, April is School Library Month! School Library Month is the American Association of School Librarians' celebration of school librarians and school libraries. I’m very lucky to get to spend so much time with school librarians when I do TEL training across the state. They definitely deserve more than one month to celebrate the work that they do to engage students, support literacy efforts, teach information literacy/research and foster of love of reading and learning. That doesn’t even begin to capture what you mean to schools, students, teachers and your communities!

Tennessee school librarians were just recognized for their state chapter of AASL for being great advocates for school libraries, school librarians and their students (http://www.ala.org/news/member-news/2020/04/tennessee-association-school-librarians-receives-aasl-chapter-year-award! Way to go, TASL!
