Join the Census Bureau's Data Dissemination Specialist Ronald Williams, to explore a variety of powerful tools. The program promises to engage with hands-on activities to help you learn!

  Real-Life Communication Skills for Library Professionals: Presentation Planning and Design Best Practices

Learn how to structure a modern, polished presentation which will make you and your organization proud. This workshop will address: How to plan your message for your audience; Best practices for presentation design and layout; Paid, free, and open source presentation software; ADA compliance; Image permissions and credits; Brainstorming and storyboarding as time permits Attendees will leave with guidelines and a resource list for all of the above.

  Library Leadership Your Way

This preconference is intended to be a practical guide for anyone interested in library leadership. Attendees will learn about leadership, become better leaders, and develop their own leadership practices. This preconference will allow attendees to engage with the subject of leadership in a meaningful way, by thinking and reflecting on various ideas of leadership and how they might use those ideas in their leadership lives.

  PHP, MySQL, and API's: A hands on workshop about coding and data

Have you always wanted to try out coding but don't know where to start? Do you dream of sharing your most exciting library data on the web? Bring your laptop and join us for a hands on session exploring MySQL, PHP, and API's. During this workshop, you will create a simple program and discover a pathway for continuing to explore coding on your own.
