Subject: Self-isolation reporting for faculty and students
Good afternoon,
Unfortunately, we are beginning to have more reports of COVID-19 on campus. Associate Vice Chancellor for Human Resources states that staff have been reporting self-isolation, but faculty and students seem to be under-reporting. Many faculty and students are off campus and don’t know that they should be both self-isolating as well as reporting that self-isolation if they feel sick, they have recently been exposed to COVID-19 or have been diagnosed with COVID-19.
The Dean of Students, the Provost’s Office and the Office of Human Resources want to know when students, faculty, and staff are self-isolating so that they can provide support as needed. (Students, for example, may need help contacting instructors or completing the student absence notification form, etc.)
Please read the attached information about student and faculty self-isolation reporting, and please forward to your faculty and ask that they forward it to their students.
