Good morning, everyone!

The Tennessee State Data Center is launching a “U” Count Here campaign today in partnership with the TN Higher Education Commission and the Tennessee Independent Universities and Colleges Association. It’s aimed at getting students at college campuses across the state to participate in the 2020 Census.

UT Communications will have its own “Vols Count” campaign, so most of our materials won’t apply to UT. However our flow chart (attached) might be helpful to print and post in areas highly trafficked by students. Census forms will arrive in the mail starting tomorrow, and students on campus can already respond through University Housing. How to respond can be a bit confusing, since it depends on if they live on campus, off campus, or with parents. We have more information about the importance of getting a complete count here, so please share it across your social media platforms if you feel it’s appropriate!

If you have friends working at other universities or colleges across the state, feel free to forward this to them as well! We have customizable promotional materials for their schools here.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,
