Benefits of posting positions on Handshake include, but are not limited to:
At the training session, you will hear success stories from other UT departments, learn how to create a Handshake profile and how to post opportunities, and learn about to market your positions and screen applicants using Handshake’s tools.
The Handshake Information and Training Session will be held on March 11th from 1-2PM in the Center for Career Development Room 225. You are encouraged to bring your own laptop or tablet. Please RSVP here to let us know if you’ll be attending. We hope you’re able to join us!
Please share this Impact Internship funding opportunity with students!
Applications for the Impact Internship Grant are open with a final deadline of April 8th. The Center for Career Development is pleased to offer competitive grants for students completing unpaid or very low stipend internships in an impact area (non-profit, social service, educational institution, or environmental organization, etc.). If you have secured an internship for the summer of 2020 with an organization that has a positive social or environmental impact, then please consider applying for the Impact Internship Grant. The grant is designed to help alleviate some of the financial strains that can come along with completing an unpaid internship. For more information about the grant and directions for applying, please visit http://bit.ly/UTImpactIntern. Just as a disclaimer, if you are completing an internship, practicum, or placement as part of your academic program or major, those experiences are not typically eligible for the grant. However, if you are completing an internship outside of or in addition to your major requirements, you would be eligible to receive funding.
If you a still seeking a summer internship, visit Handshake to browse and apply for opportunities. You can also make an appointment to discuss your internship search through the Career Center tab on Handshake. Please contact Mary Beth Woodward at [log in to unmask] with any questions about the Impact Internship Grant.
