Dear TLA Friends,

With the deepest sorrow, Beaman Library brings the news of the passing of a dear wife, mother, friend, teacher, and remarkable librarian, Anna Leta Moss. Anna Leta served Beaman Library for 17 years and worked tirelessly to bring cohesion, innovative understanding, and blessings to the students, university librarians, faculty, staff, and community. Anna Leta left Beaman Library on May 24 and began her battle with cancer.  For the past six months, Anna Leta valiantly fought stage four ovarian cancer.

Anna Leta passed from this world on Friday, November 29, 2019. In lieu of flowers (Anna Leta always removed the flowers from the reference desk because she never liked the smell), please consider donating to fund her son's education fund. Will Moss is a seventh-grader at Lipscomb Academy. While Lipscomb has generously offered to extend the faculty discount to Will as long as he remains enrolled at Lipscomb, it would be a light in a dark time for the family to know that Will's education is fully funded. Donations may be sent to the Business Office at Lipscomb University with Will Moss - Education Fund written in the memo line.

The visitation for Anna Leta Moss will be today (Monday, December 2) at Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson, TN, from 6-8 pm. The funeral will be tomorrow (Tuesday, December 3) at 2 pm with the burial to follow at Memorial Gardens near Montgomery Bell State Park.

We mourn the loss of a remarkable librarian and support her legacy in her 12 year-old-son, Will.

With deepest sympathy,
