On a related note, the December Talking Freight webinar announcement will hopefully be sent to you later today.
The December Talking Freight webinar was moved back one day, to Thursday 12/19, to accommodate all speakers during that webinar. Coincidentally, that webinar will also focus on e-commerce related deliveries, and will feature presentations from the recent
International Urban Freight Conference. None of the Talking Freight webinar presentations will overlap with the CoE SUFS webinar presentations.

The Peer-to-Peer Exchange Program is designed to share global cases of best practices and real world examples of sustainable urban freight systems. This

The Internet economy has put at consumers’ fingertips an array of consumer goods without precedent in human history; in doing so, the business-to-consumer (B2C) component of the Internet
economy has increased market transparency making it easier for consumers to find suppliers and vice versa. The freight traffic generated, in turn, has aggravated congestion, pollution, and accidents. As the same time, traditional deliveries to commercial establishments—business-to-business
(B2B)—have also increased in response to the reactivation of the economy, and the increasing reliance on frequent deliveries of small shipments. Aggravating the already significant challenge, the transition to service economies prevailing in developed economies,
is creating an increasing traffic of service activities that, though relatively small in numbers, occupy the curbside space for very long periods of time. The conjunction of these trends have created a perfect storm of commercial traffic in cities. In this
talk, Professors José Holguín-Veras and Cara Wang will discuss their research on these topics and will outline potential solution approaches to deal with this crisis.
