Receive $5,000 to study abroad! The Gilman-McCain Scholarship is a congressionally funded initiative of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs at the U.S. Department of State and named after the late senator John S. McCain from Arizona. The scholarship provides awards of $5,000 for child dependents of active duty service members who receive any type of Title IV federal financial aid to study or intern abroad on credit-bearing programs. The application is currently open for students whose education abroad program has a start date that falls between January 2020-October 2020. Applications are processed and accepted on a rolling basis.
