Hello,

Thanks for your help in spreading the news for this announcement:

A position in the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Maine Field Office is now open as a part of a coordinated advertisement on USAJOBS. We're looking for a good communicator, skilled negotiator, politically savvy individual who has familiarity with the FERC  hydro relicensing process. The coordinator works closely with partners in Maine to restore fish passage for species like the critically endangered Gulf of Maine DPS of Atlantic salmon. As a part of the Maine Field Office in Ecological Services, the individual works with a team of wildlife biologists to recover threatened and endangered species, species at risk and coordinates with NOAA-NMFS, State, tribal and NGO partners on high priority regulatory fish passage projects. As a part of the USFWS Maine Complex collocation, there is a unique opportunity to interact and work closely with the Gulf of Maine Coastal Program and Fish Hatcheries in Maine and New Hampshire.

Open & closing dates:  10/15/2019 to 10/29/2019

Pay scale & grade: GS-0401-11/12

Announcement number: MR-20-10620098-JLS-MP https://www.usajobs.gov/GetJob/ViewDetails/548811700

The office is located at one of America's first federal fish hatcheries, situated along the scenic  Alamoosook Lake. Less than an hour from Acadia's carriage trails and rugged Maine coast, there is endless opportunities for hiking, biking, hunting, fishing and enjoying the Way Life Should Be.

Thanks for helping spread the word!
Anna
