Freight Stakeholders,

Late yesterday I received the information below and the attached information above (which includes the formal invitation and the draft symposium agenda) from Debra Chappell at the Federal Railroad Administration about FRA's upcoming symposium on Highway-Rail Grade Crossing Safety. This symposium may be of interest to you and/or your colleagues, particularly if you are engaged and/or interested in highway-rail grade crossing issues.

FRA is in the final planning phase for the Highway-Rail Grade Crossing Safety Symposium on November 19th, and would like other modal administrations in USDOT to participate in the Symposium and the Networking Event. More specifically, FRA would like to provide participants with as much information related to safety as well as funding/financing opportunities as possible. Because many of the participants are engaged in other non-rail safety efforts, FRA welcomes the ONEDOT Team to bring other information on safety programs, grants, etc. that may be of interest.

Interested stakeholders need to register for the symposium by Thursday, November 7th. They can do so at the following link: https://www.fra.dot.gov/conference/2019/gradecrossing/index.shtml.

If you or your stakeholder contacts have any questions about the upcoming symposium, please contact Debra Chappell at FRA at 202-493-6018 or [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>.
