Hello, everyone! I need your help! Today in Tennessee Today and Vol Update, we included a video message from Chancellor Plowman encouraging all Vols to track their service hours during our 225th anniversary year. I hope you will consider sharing a similar message in your college and unit channels and newsletters. We will need to keep talking about service to keep this effort going through the year. I am copied on the entry forms as they come through from faculty and staff, and I will be looking for opportunities to highlight people and projects through photography, video, and social media. We need more great service images! Also, I should have some specific information to assist faculty and staff in finding or developing opportunities to serve in the next few weeks. If you need photos or the logo, let me or Emily Corum know. Here is some basic text that you can draw from: Submit Your Service Hours Online Service is essential to the Volunteer experience and makes Rocky Top a special place. Every contribution through service—no matter how small—is an investment in our communities, demonstrating to others the world we seek to create. In addition to service performed through UT’s programs, Volunteers serve in many ways outside the university—in our schools, neighborhoods, places of worship, and local nonprofit groups. Through June 2020, we’re asking all members of our Volunteer family to submit your service hours online.
