Welcome to your NWR System

American Conservation Experience (ACE) in partnership with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented individual to support the implementation of a multi-year nationwide survey of visitors to national wildlife refuges. This is a full-time position with benefits provided by ACE located at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Natural Resource Program Center in Fort Collins, Colorado. This position is slated to begin as soon as possible.

Please share this announcement with those in your network who would be interested in this position or know of individuals who might be.

More on the project -  The National Visitor Survey (NVS) project is a systematic effort to understand visitor characteristics, experience, and satisfaction on national wildlife refuges, as well as visitor economic contributions to local communities. The survey is conducted every five years on a rotating basis on wildlife refuges that have at least 50,000 visits per year. This effort provides refuge professionals with reliable baseline information and trend data that can be used to plan, design, and deliver quality visitor experiences, communicate the value of wildlife refuges to different audiences, and set future priorities.

Your role and responsibilitiesThe National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Survey Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for training field teams on sampling protocols, serving as the liaison between participating refuges and field teams, developing sampling schedules at participating refuges, and additional logistical duties as assigned.
