Hi –
TEL is fully functional again!!!
·
TEL4U.org is working again.
·
All links on the TEL website or any location specific URLs now authenticate into the various resources as they should.
·
New users can now sign up for accounts on Transparent Language.
Let me know if you are still having any access issues and I can look into it! Thanks,
Andrea

Subject: Update on TEL resources
Good morning,
We are still working with the vendor to restore TEL and all the databases back to full functionality. I’ve requested a report of exactly what happened and what they are doing to ensure this type of outage doesn’t impact TEL again.
Here are some updates:
·
TEL4U.org is currently available at
http://ec2-3-15-156-230.us-east-2.compute.amazonaws.com/galesupport/tel4u/
·
If you have Gale pages, they should be up and working. You may notice that your library branding is still not appearing but that should be fixed by the end of the week.
·
If you have location specific urls, those are still not working as the authentication is currently not available. It was supposed to be resolved last night at midnight so I don’t have a timeframe of when that will be fixed. If
you direct your patrons to the TEL website, all but the Tennessee Records on Ancestry.com are available.
·
Transparent Language users–
using the link on the TEL site, existing patrons can continue their lessons. New accounts cannot be created at this time. If your patrons email me, I can let them know when they can sign up for an account.
Quite a few school librarians have asked for direct links so here is a quick cheat sheet of some of the most popular resources:
TEL4U.org |

Testing & Education Reference Center |

Gale In Context: Opposing Viewpoints |
https://infotrac.gale.com/itweb/tel_s_tsla&id=elvis&?db=OVIC |
Literature Resource Center |
https://infotrac.gale.com/itweb/tel_s_tsla&id=elvis&?db=LitRC |
Gale Books and Authors |
|
Gale Literary Sources |

Again, thank you for your patience while we work to get everything fixed and put measures in place to ensure this doesn’t happen again. Please let me know if you need anything!
