Subject: Vacancy: Term Geneticist (GS-440-9) at USFWS Northeast Fishery Center, Lamar, PA
We're pleased to announce the opening of a Term Geneticist position (GS-440, 09) with the USFWS Northeast Fishery Center Conservation Genetics Lab in Lamar, PA. The position will provide assistance for population genetic analysis for lake trout, coregonids, and other Great Lakes native fish, as well as the use of genetic tools to aid the detection of aquatic invasive species in the Great Lakes. The position will assist in the development, validation, and application of methods including qPCR, next generation sequencing, and other technology for applications such as targeted species detection, metabarcoding, and genome sequencing. The work will include both lab and field work, and will collaborate with various partners. The position opens 8/21/2019.

Salary: $51,440 to $66,868 per year
