Dear Colleagues, There will be a Geometry-Topology summer school in "Nesin Mathematics Village" between "9 - 22 September 2019" Some of the lectures (mini-courses) include: 1. Craig Van Coevering: Special Metrics in Sasakian Geometry 2. Misha Verbitsky: TBA 3. Mustafa Kalafat: Introduction to G_2 Geometry: Representation Theory 4. Özgür Kelekçi: Kahler Geometry (and Einstein Manifolds) 5. Eyüp Yalçınkaya: Spin Geometry and Seiberg-Witten Equations 6. Buket Can Bahadır: Theoretic PDE: Partial Differential Equations (Evans: Sobolev and Hölder Spaces) 7. Murat Savaş: Hyperbolic Geometry 8. Mehmet Kılıç: Metric Geometry In the middle of the week we also make a trip to "Ancient City of Ephesus" or Kuşadası Beach nearby. We will be able to provide some funding support for graduate students and postdocs for local expenses. The mini-courses will be of introductory nature and beneficiary to PhD students and Postdocs. We ask all participants, especially those interested in being considered for this support, to complete the registration form as soon as possible. To announce a geometry or closely related conference, send the announcement (including a conference web site if possible) to [log in to unmask] The moderator cannot edit your message; list members will receive the announcement as an e-mail from you EXACTLY as you submitted it. For example, if your submission starts with "Please post this on the geometry list" then your conference announcement will also begin with that statement. In order to keep down the volume of e-mail, only TWO announcements per conference will be approved by the moderator. The "subject" of your message should include the name of the conference and the number (first or second) of the announcement, e.g. Gauss Memorial Lectures in Geometry: Second Announcement. Please check that your announcement (especially the website) is correct. Corrections will be approved only in the most critical situations, e.g. if corrected information is not available on the website. After submitting an announcement you may receive a message asking you to confirm your submission. This feature is designed to thwart the hundreds of machine-generated spam that are sent to the list and would otherwise have to be manually blocked by the moderator.
