Good morning! Welcome Week is quickly approaching, and New Student & Family Programs is looking for your help to build Welcome Week schedule. Please share this email with colleagues responsible for programming so that all Welcome Week events are represented in the calendar! Welcome Week Event Submission: You can submit your events through online Welcome Week Event Submission Form<https://nsfp.utk.edu/welcomeweek/eventsubmission/>! If your unit is hosting or planning to host any events during between Saturday, August 17 and Friday, August 23, please use our form to have that featured as a part of the schedule. You can access the form by following the link found here<https://nsfp.utk.edu/welcomeweek/eventsubmission/> or by visiting nsfp.utk.edu/welcomeweek/eventsubmission/<https://nsfp.utk.edu/welcomeweek/eventsubmission/>. When planning your events, we ask that you not schedule your programs during the following times: * Sunday, August 18, 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM * Monday, August 19, 1:00 PM - 7:00 PM * Friday, August 23, 7:00 PM - 12:00 AM Please submit your events by no later than Friday, August 9, 2019, to have them included in the Vol Life app and on the Welcome Week website. All submissions after this point will need to be email directly to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>. All events will be added to the calendar.utk.edu<https://calendar.utk.edu/> campus events calendar. If you have already started adding events to the calendar, send those details to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> and we tag your events to be included on the Welcome Week calendar feed. Welcome Week Volunteers: We are looking for volunteers to provide support during our signature events and information tents during Welcome Week. These events include: * New Student Class Photo, Rocky Top Rally, and Big Orange Block Party (formerly the New Student Picnic) – Sunday, August 18 * Torch Night – Monday, August 19 * Information Tent Staffing – Wednesday, August 22 through Friday, August 24 Various shift times are available, and all volunteers will receive an email with more details prior to the day of the event.
