The deadline for students who wish to receive GSS Travel Award funding for travel
September 1, 2019 through December 31, 2019 is Thursday, August 22, 2019. This is to allow Dr. Cihak time to review requests by the
GSS deadline of August 30.
The process has changed. Please read the directions carefully!
New for the 2019-20 academic year: The GSS travel award application process is now completely online.
GSS will not accept paper applications. The process for collecting signatures from the advisor, department head, and Dr. Cihak has changed. Students must be signed into their UT Google account.
After filling out the application, Google Form, at this link https://gss.utk.edu/travel-awards/information/,
the student will receive an email confirmation. They will then forward the email to their advisor, department head, and Dr. Cihak ([log in to unmask]).
These individuals will be able to click “Edit Response” in the top-left corner of the forwarded email to view the application and provide funding and electronic signature. It is the students’ responsibility to ensure that all signatures are obtained prior
to the application deadline.
