Apply by May 19 to Be Part of Cohort 4 of YALSA’s Future Ready with the Library Project
Through funding from IMLS and in partnership with the Association for Rural and Small Libraries (ARSL), YALSA’s Future Ready with the Library project aims to build the capacity of small, rural and tribal libraries to provide college and
career readiness (CCR) services for and with middle schoolers. YALSA and ARSL will work with library staff to build needed skills while also developing, testing and refining turn-key resources, which other libraries can adapt for their own use. The project
is aimed at school, public, and college library staff in libraries with a service population of 15,000 or fewer, as well as libraries that are 25 miles or more from an urbanized area. YALSA is currently soliciting applicants for cohort 4 of the project. Cohort
4 will begin meeting virtually in the fall of 2019, meet face-to-face in Memphis, TN on November 3rd and 4th, 2019 (travel expenses will be paid for via the grant project) , and continue the project work through April of 2020. Applications must be submitted
via the online form by May 19. A pdf sample of the application form is available for review purposes. To learn more, view the
