Subject: Update: May 27th deadline for abstracts for World Congress of Herpetology, New Zealand, January 5-10, 2020: Disease Symposium is open for contributed papers

Dear Colleagues:

The 9th World Congress of Herpetology is in New Zealand (http://www.wchnz.com) on 5-10 January 2020, and the deadline for abstract submission is Friday, 27 May 2019.  I am doing this outreach now to alert potentially interested participants of the upcoming abstract deadline, but also to encourage contributed papers in the theme of disease ecology. There is an invited symposium on amphibian diseases being planned, and we hope to have companion sessions of contributed papers on herpetofaunal diseases. Matt Gray Univ. Tennessee, US) and I have offered to help coordinate such complementary contributed paper sessions. You can submit abstracts here, www.wchnz@com, at the drop down menu “Call for Abstracts” and then hit the blue link that says Please Click Here to Submit your Abstract.

The abstract deadline has been pushed back to May 27th.

Thank you in advance for considering participation in WCH9!  Please forward this to interested participants, thanks.

All the Best, Dede and Matt
