Responsibilities:

The position is responsible for providing leadership, policy development, external and congressional liaison, program accountability and budget formulation for eleven major service-wide programs that contribute to the stewardship, maintenance, operation and sustainability of the National Park System. The programs impact heritage assets and approximately $180 billion in capital infrastructure nationwide, and include the functions of asset management, facility operations and maintenance, information technology, environmental management systems, hazardous waste management, green energy, environmental audits, all aspects of transportation management, accessibility management, employee housing management, repair-rehabilitation, cyclic maintenance, and recreation fee project management.
