This webinar centers on the question “How can library staff best serve those from marginalized communities?” The presentation and discussion are intended to promote an awareness of the hurdles that exist for many of our patrons and colleagues. To foster equity for communities, that include racial and ethnic minorities, members of the LGBTQ community, and those with disabilities, the presenters will encourage engagement with diversity topics, initiatives, and resources. This information is intended to aid academic library staff in their quest to provide a welcoming environment for all.
Featured presenters:
Dr. Marilyn S. Mobley, Case Western Reserve University Vice President for Inclusion, Diversity and Equal Opportunity
Janée Kelly, CWRU Assistant Director for Retention and Graduate Outreach, Multicultural Affairs
Regina Gonzalez, CWRU Director of Diversity & Strategic Initiatives
Matthew Smith, CWRU Project Director, Northern Ohio AGEP Alliance
The presentation will take place on Tuesday, April 30 at 1pm. Register here
