Dear Students,

I plan on teaching the 3 weeks long mini-term course on the Society/Spaces of South Asia. This fulfills the upper level GE requirements as well as other course requirements in International/Global Studies, Asian Studies, etc. If you are looking for a whole-sum crash course on South Asia, do consider enrolling. It will be great to have few more students for lively class discussions on various important and interesting topics. I am attaching a flyer for this course. If you have questions, feel free to ask (email or knock on my doors). If I teach it in the mini-term, this course will be restructured to fit the 150 minutes long (multi-methods)/15 days course. This mini-term will be especially useful to meet your graduation requirements, and otherwise, in case you have special interest in learning about the neo-colonial geopolitics and economy, society/culture, gender, arranged marriages, caste system, religion, war and politics, Bollywood/Hollywood, Arts/Culture, musics, and so on concerning the South Asian region.

The next opportunity to take this class will only be in Spring 2020 when this will be offered in its regular format.

Best wishes,
