This is a little short notice but there will a digital privacy lecture and hands-on workshop at Vanderbilt Libraries this Thursday (03/14). Free lunch the first 75 participants. Details:

On Thursday, March 14, the Vanderbilt Libraries are sponsoring a digital privacy event in the Community Room of the Central Library on Vanderbilt's campus.  At 11 AM, Alison Macrina will present a keynote: "Privacy and intellectual freedom: lessons from Library Freedom Project".  From 1:00 to 2:30 PM, there will be a drop-in "do-it-yourself" privacy fair where you can learn how to protect your privacy on your computer and mobile devices. Lunch will be provided for the first 75 registrants and public parking is available in the Wesley Place parking garage (2043 Scarritt Place) across the street from the Central Library.
