Dear Doctoral Students,

I’m writing to ask for your help in identifying parents/guardians of children aged 11-18 who may be willing to provide permission to their children in taking a survey about internet and search engine usage. I could email the invitation letter and survey link to you to forward to the parents/If any parents/guardians or I can contact them directly via email if you pass on their emails. The survey study has an IRB approval.

Example survey questions:

Q6: In a few words, tell us what the internet is in the box below. If you don't know, type "I don't know" in the box below.

Q7: In a few words, tell us what a web search engine is in the box below. If you don't know, type "I don't know" in the box below.

Q8: Do you use the internet to find information?

o Yes, by myself

o Yes, but with a parent's help

o Yes, but with a friend's help

o No

Thank you in advance for your help.

Best,

Dania
