Dr. Shaw and Kurt,
It's been almost 20 years since I graduated as Jen Krstolic from UT, and I have been successfully working as the GIS Specialist at the USGS in Richmond since then. We are adding
to the Geographic team here at USGS so I wanted to see who you have coming out of the Geography program at UT. I'm hoping you will circulate around? If anyone stands out to you particularly, please put us in contact. This also could be open for recent graduates
(2018) BS or MS.
thank you!

I am writing to ask if you have any bright talented BS or MS geographers or environmental scientists graduating soon? We are looking to hire a full time position to be part of
our USGS team to support Web Mapping Application development. This person would be skilled in GIS geoprocessing, automating GIS tasks, scripting, and ESRI enterprise database management. Our spatial application team supports local and regional water resource
studies and makes USGS data available through the AWS Cloud and accessible to the public and management community.
We will be posting a position in the next few weeks through USAJobs for the USGS Virginia and West Virginia Water Science Center. Locations: Richmond,VA or Charleston, WV.
