I have 30-60 Entry/Junior Level GIS positions in Irving, TX We will be hiring 20 people on April 22nd and 20 people on May 20th, but it can take a month to get onboarding done, so if candidates are interested, they need to reach out to me immediately. Below are the details. + These opportunities sit at our TEKsystems Dallas Solution Center in Irving. Our end client is with Verizon Business and Verizon Wireless. We started this project about a year ago to validate all the fiber (aerial and buried) across the US, which is a heavy GIS role. We hired 80 people in 2018 and are adding 40-60 more in April and May this year! Yes... that many. Our consultants will have a week of training, a week of shadowing, then they will be set free to start the job on their own. Yes... training is paid for. This is a very relaxed environment that is not micromanaged. It's also a very nice facility. They will get experience with ESRI products, 3GIS, ArcMap, Cad, working with "as-builts" and several other proprietary tools. It really is a great resume builder! Recent GIS grads with no experience OR with 6 months to 2 years of experience is the perfect candidate for these roles. We have three different levels for this project that all have different pay. We have consultants that get promoted very quickly if they do a good job. It is a great resume builder. Below is the breakdown of level and pay: Level 1: $20/hr - Must have a GIS Degree. No experience required! Truly entry level. Level 2: $25/hr - Must have GIS Degree OR 1-5 years' of GIS or CAD Drafting experience. Both is even better! Level 3: $32/hr - Must have Strong OSP Engineering (Telecommunications) experience and Professional GIS experience. (All of the above rates include 5 vacation days and 6 holidays). More Details: Location: Irving, TX Type of Employment: Long term contract. This is a W-2 contract. You are considered a temporary employee of TEKsystems. Benefits: We have medical, dental and vision. Benefits start the first of the month after you start. Dress: Business Casual Hours: They have flexible hours. Most people work 7 am - 4 pm or 8 am - 5 pm. *Candidates must be able to work 40 hours a week in regular business hours. This is NOT an internship. This is a 40 hour a week job.
