Subject: RE: Watershed Faculty Consortium + 2019 Symposium
Faculty with watershed interests: The Watershed Faculty Consortium
The
2019 Watershed Symposium
is scheduled for
Tuesday afternoon on March 26th (with a theme on developing watershed plans for 319 grant funding). The keynote speaker will be Dr. Sam Marshall from the Tennessee Department of Agriculture – He is responsible for the state’s 319 program.
The symposium will be held in 102 Mossman Hall, and the announcement flyer is attached.
Important about the 2019 Watershed Symposium, there will be a
student poster competition with awards for best poster, $75, $50, and $25 for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awardees. Please let your students know. The idea is for students not to create a new poster, unless they want to,
but rather bring a poster created for a recently attended conference. If you have a student that is interested, they need to set up their poster at 11:30 AM in the morning at 102 Mossman. Also, they need to register their poster using the web link on the
announcement flyer (attached).
Also attached are the
Watershed Faculty Consortium meeting minutes from the February 21, 2019 meeting. A few names have been added to this list serve, mostly so you, your students, and/or associates are aware of the upcoming Watershed Symposium. However, if you are interested
in the activities of the Consortium the meeting minutes are attached, and join us at our next meeting scheduled on April 5, 2019.
Regards,
John
