ORNL has several opportunities for students to complete an internship at the lab. Each year over 100 UT students participate in programs such as the DOE SULI and ORNL HERE programs.

Our office is funding an additional program with multiple paid 10-week research internships at ORNL this summer. Interested students should fill in the interest form at the bottom of the page as soon as possible. They will be sent an application as soon as it is live next week.

Students are placed into labs that best fit their research interest in one of five areas at ORNL:

Benefits:

$500/week stipend

Housing in Vol Hall (if needed)

Bus transportation from campus to ORNL daily

$500 travel grant if you choose to present at a discipline specific conference within 2 semesters following your internship
