Here is an awesome opportunity to really launch your career if you seek a change and want to learn more about federal regulations and protecting aquatic resources thru the hydropower licensing process.  After working for the NCWRC for 7+ years, I went to work for FERC.  Best career move I ever made.  Of course I didn't stay, but what I learned there I have used and applied in every job I've held since then.
