Dear Geography students (graduate and undergraduate):
Please see email below from one of our professorial colleagues and departmental friends at UT-Chattanooga. Dr. McCarragher is inquiring about a possible room-mate at the AAG meeting in DC for a student in her
program. If the splitting of conference costs is something you are interested in doing, please contact Dr. McCarragher directly.
Best wishes,
DA

Subject: AAG student housing inquiry
Hello Dr. Alderman,
This is Shannon McCarragher from Geography at University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. I was wondering if any students (undergraduate and/or graduate) from UTK were attending AAG this year? If so, do you know if there are any male students
looking for a roommate to cut the cost of the conference hotel – or alternately, what those students are doing for housing if they are not staying at the conference hotel? I have one male undergraduate student who is attending AAG with me this year and we
are trying to offset his lodging cost by reaching out to other local schools that might be taking students to AAG. If you have any information or could get me in touch with someone who might know the answer, I’d really appreciate it.
Thank you and I’m looking forward to hearing from you soon,
Shannon
