Hello, The Office of Research and Engagement is sponsoring a two-hour seminar from visualization expert, Alberto Cairo. In “Visual Trumpery: How Charts Lie and How They Make Us Smarter” Cairo will share the most effective ways to use graphs, charts, maps and infographics to enable a more comprehensive and informative message to your audience. Aimed at a broad audience, his presentation attempts to help build a literate citizenry, which he believes is the best antidote for nonsense. Join us Friday, February 22, from 10 a.m.–12 p.m. at the John C. Hodges Library, Lindsay Young Auditorium.
