It is with great sadness that I share the news that Ray Thrasher, former library director at Trevecca Nazarene University, passed away Monday, January 14, 2019. Ray was passionate
about libraries, Trevecca, and wildlife, especially squirrels. She is the reason that a squirrel is the unofficial mascot of Trevecca.

Ray was active in the Tennessee Library Association “back in the day.” A colleague remembers attending with her in the 1970’s and 1980’s. Here is a link to an article from Trevecca
