OVGTSL 2019 Conference Diversity Scholarships for Library Professionals
The University of Kentucky (UK) Libraries is pleased to offer two diversity scholarships to attend the 2019 OVGTSL Annual Conference in Lexington,
KY. Scholarships cover full conference registration and lodging for two nights (May 12-13, 2019) with conference accommodations at the conference hotel DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel (2601 Richmond Rd, Lexington, KY 40509).
Diversity scholarships
will be awarded to library professionals from underrepresented groups and marginalized identities, including but not limited to: people of color, LGBTQIA+, ability/disability, and others who are traditionally underrepresented
in libraries. Any individual currently employed full-time or part-time in the library field is eligible to apply.
Applicants should include a resume, a short statement (250 words) summarizing how they would benefit from attending this conference, and a
statement about their specific qualification as part of an underrepresented group or marginalized identity in librarianship.

Scholarship recipients will be required to submit a brief report outlining their conference experience within 30 days of the
end of the conference. This review will be published on the conference web site.

Acceptance Deadline: April 1, 2019
