Please see below links for internship programs specifically for Latino and other diverse students, who have been traditionally under represented in our public lands. Eligible applicants are US citizens or legal residents, 18-35, and enrolled in a degree or certificate program. Most of the internships are for NP or NWRs.

Please share as appropriate,

John

Hola NAHE members and welcome back to public service!!

The NAHE executive board had actually planned our first membership meet and greet for today but we went into government shutdown before we could get the word out to our membership. We will try for our first meeting in February.

Please help with the placement and recruitment of summer interns for the Department of Interior and other public land agencies.

The below links are for internship programs specifically for Latino and other diverse students who have been traditionally under represented in our public lands. Eligible applicants are US citizens or legal residents, 18-35, and enrolled in a degree or certificate program.

Each internship includes working in a national park or wildlife refuge summer 2019 followed by a 4-day career workshop in August 2019 in Washington DC. The deadline is Feb 10, 2019 except for Geoscientists, Feb 3.

MANO Project - NPS, USFWS, USFS

Geoscientists-in-the-Parks Program  - 2 internship seasons: spring and summer positions applications due Feb. 3; winter positions recruit July 2019.

Please check the list of sites offering internships and if the list includes any sites where NAHE members work please do not hesitate to reach out to your fellow NAHE member for more information.

The National Mall in Washington DC will be hosting a LHIP Intern. Please encourage students to apply and contact me with questions.

Thank you.
