Do you support faculty researchers or graduate student researchers?
Or, do you do your own research?
Consider presenting at Empirical Librarians!
Please join us for the 5th Empirical Librarians conference, EmpLibs19. EmpLibs19 is a small conference on librarians and research, held March 7-8, 2019 in Richmond, VA.
We seek presentation proposals from librarians, library professionals, and LIS students on our two conference topic tracks:
(1) supporting original research, through faculty and graduate outreach, scholarly communications, etc.; and
(2) doing research in libraries, including qualitative, quantitative, and humanistic approaches.
Track 1 concentrates on discussions of the specialized needs of original researchers as patrons. Track 2 concentrates on issues in doing library research, and is also a great place to revisit an already-presented
set of findings but focus on the “how to” of methodology instead of the results.
Please submit proposals for concurrent sessions, panels, and/or lightning talks at https://www.lib.utk.edu/emplibs/2019-cfp/
