Research Assistants Needed - Data Analytics

The Transportation Planning and Decision Science (TPDS) Group of the Oak Ridge National Laboratory is seeking a student intern to assist and provide support of research studies in energy and transportation related projects. The student intern will be working with a team of research staff to provide assistance in research activities include, but not limited to (1) collecting, processing, and integrating transportation data (e.g., freight logistics, truck weight data, signal timing and speed data); (2) conducting in-depth data analysis (e.g., statistical, trend, sensitivity analyses) and traffic simulation; (3) visualizing research steps and results; and (4) documenting and summarizing research methods and outcome.  Students with strong interest in data analytics with experience in transportation engineering, planning, modeling, and traffic simulation are desired.
