Good Afternoon Geographers –

 

I want to extend a sincere thank you to the graduate students who, under the capable leadership of Lindy Westenhoff, pulled of a great GAW event on the Burchfiel Plaza yesterday.  Some new wrinkles were successfully added this year such as cookies and hot beverages which, given yesterday’s weather, were hit hard and often by the passing students.  I also want to thank the six or so graduate students who helped set up in the morning and, on very short notice, helped tear down very quickly when the rain started.

 

Many thanks also go to all of the undergraduates in UTAGS led by Emily Craig, Olivia Young and Nick Karrick who participated in the event on the plaza yesterday and facilitated a wildly successful Taste of the World event today.

 

It is a pleasure and an honor to be get to work with such wonderful people.
