Lead Librarian Positions (2): Worthington Libraries is looking for an Atticus Finch. You know the type: smart, caring, encouraging. The kind of leader that can make everyone around them better. As a lead librarian, you’ll be part of a hard-working, fun-loving group that follows the unofficial motto: “Teamwork makes the dream work!” It’s in this team environment that you’ll play a vital role in developing staff and creating innovative programs and services. Your flexibility, creativity and ability to lead change are critical to this position.

 

Adult Services Lead Librarian. Supervises employees in the Adult Services department; develops the collection; assists patrons with resources and materials in a variety of formats; trains patrons in the use of resources; and prepares/conducts programs designed to encourage library use. Minimum qualifications include: a Master’s Degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program and one year of customer service experience.  A minimum of one year of professional library experience and one year of supervisory experience are preferred.   Hiring salary range: $51,390-$64,223.

 

Youth Services Lead Librarian. Supervises employees in the Youth Services department; develops the collection; assists patrons with resources and materials in a variety of formats; trains patrons in the use of resources; and prepares/conducts programs designed to encourage library use. Minimum qualifications include: a Master’s Degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program and one year of customer service experience.  A minimum of one year of professional library experience and one year of supervisory experience are preferred.   Hiring salary range: $51,390-$64,223.

Under direction, this position assists patrons to identify and locate appropriate materials in a variety of formats; trains patrons in the use of resources; develops the collection and prepares/conducts programs designed to encourage library use.  Minimum qualifications include: a Master’s Degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program and one year of customer service experience.  Previous library experience, programming experience, collection development and training experience are preferred.  Hiring salary range: $43,983-$54,969
