Dear Friends and Good People  -

In face of all the divisiveness and contentiousness in our society today, how nice to read that a Knoxville, Tennessee, restaurant has been named “The Nicest Place in America” by Reader's Digest

And how nice to read about a community’s acceptance and support for a refugee family making a new and better life for themselves in face of adversities.  (Do hope they are, or will be, library Friends, and receiving Imagination Library books.)

And how good for Tennessee - this is the second consecutive year a Tennessee location has won. In 2017, the city of Gallatin won the title of Nicest Place in America.

Read about this year’s other finalists at https://www.rd.com/nicest-places-contest/  (and note that one was the Enoch Pratt Free Library in Baltimore).

Inspirational, cheerful news indeed.
Enjoy  -  Don
