The Vanderbilt University Libraries seeks an outgoing, innovative, and highly motivated education subject specialist to join the team of librarians in the Peabody Library. The position reports to the Director of the Peabody Library.
About the Position and Responsibilities:
This position will serve as subject librarian for the department of Leadership, Policy, & Organizations and the department of Teaching & Learning in the Peabody College of Human and Organizational Development at Vanderbilt University.
Professional librarians at Vanderbilt University are classified as exempt staff. They are, however, subject to a rank and promotion system that encourages research and professional service in addition to librarianship.
The Peabody Library is currently undergoing a transformation in which spaces and services are being redesigned and reimagined, and librarians are shifting their focus towards deeper engagement with students, faculty, and researchers with
an emphasis on building information and digital literacy skills across campus.
