The academic search engine and digital library CiteSeerX and related projects has an immediate opening for a postdoc to work on the problems of scholarly big data information extraction, entity recognition, indexing, and other related areas of research. A PhD in computer science or related fields is required. The position is at the College of Information Sciences and Technology at the Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA.

Familiarity with machine learning, information retrieval and extraction, search engines, computer systems, and linux/lucene a must. This is collaborative effort with Professor Jian Wu (previous posdoc) at Old Dominion University and Professor Cornelia Caragea at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
