Geographers and Sustainers,
It’s time to start thinking about
ESRI student opportunities coming up over the next 12 months. Look through the applications now and start updating your resumes and getting your professional references lined up. When I spoke
to ESRI recruiters this summer they said that you should apply as early as possible.
- Assistantships – Coincide with large professional conferences and typically exchange free conference registration, free lodging, and a meal stipend for
volunteer work at the conference. You typically are responsible for your own transportation costs to and from the conference. They typically last about 5 days to a week.
- Developer Summit
- Federal GIS Conference
- Petroleum GIS Conference
- International User Conference
- Internships – Get paid to work for ESRI in a variety of disciplines and locations. Our very own Dr. Raposo did this one summer and would be happy to
fill you in on the details of his time as an intern.
- There are internships in everything from user interface design to accounting to marketing so be sure to read the requirements for the ones you are interested
in.
Good luck!
