Apologies for cross-posting...

LAC Group UK has an urgent requirement for a  Legislation Researcher/Translator whose native language is Turkmen for a short-term engagement that can be undertaken remotely, from home. This posting concerns an assignment that is due to start in September, for approx. 160 hours of work. Success on this first assignment could also lead to further opportunities, in both Turkmen and English. In addition to having native or native-like fluency in Turkmen, the researcher must be fluent in English and be able to present good written English.

The focus will be a direct review of current legislation and the recording of specific elements thereof. Candidates should be good communicators and be able to demonstrate previous research experience. Previous legal training or experience is not necessary but some familiarity with legal terminology would be desirable. Full project descriptions will be provided, supervisors appointed and on-line training will be provided.

Pay rates for this work are limited to US$18 (or equivalent) per hour and the preference is for the researcher to be able to spend about 20 hours per week on this project.

Please supply both a CV/Résumé and a Cover Letter, explaining why you believe you are capable of fulfilling this role. We will not be able to consider you for the role if there is no cover letter.
