Subject: [EXTERNAL] Job Opening - Georgia - 2 Part-time Reference Positions

The Clayton State University Library seeks two enthusiastic part time reference services librarians to join our library team. The successful candidates will primarily work Monday and Wednesday evenings or Tuesday and Thursday evenings during the semester and a partial Saturday or Sunday shift.  Hours will not exceed 19.5 hours a week.  Most weeks will average 15 hours.  Flexibility is preferred to be able to work day or weekend slots, during interim semester and if staffing is needed.  This is strictly a part time reference faculty librarian position. Interested individuals are invited to apply. Responsibilities


  *   Maintain library reference information desk during evenings and peak times of need to serve primarily, students, faculty, and staff with information retrieval.
  *   Assists with Information Desk/Reference and research questions, check in/out of study rooms, technology items, computer assistance, copier/print services, and general directional questions relating to the university.
  *   Some supervision and training of student assistant employees when applicable, who may be working during that same time as the part time librarian.
  *   Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications


  *   ALA accredited Master's Degree in Library, Information Science prior to start
  *   Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
  *   Must be self-directed, well organized, and able to meet multiple demands
  *   Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
