The faculty and staff of the Clayton State University Library seek a dynamic individual to join their team as Head of Access and Electronic Services.  The primary responsibilities for this position are to provide leadership and operations management to the Circulation and Electronic Resources & Services departments.

Responsibilities

·         Plan and lead the strategic development of policies, procedures, standards, practices, and workflows related to circulation, equipment lending, GIL Express, software & hardware management, and electronic resources management.

·         Project, approve, and monitor expenditures. Collect and analyze data. Design, edit, and run reports using Alma Analytics. Prepare monthly and annual reports.

·         Oversee and coordinate the operations of Access Services including circulation, equipment lending, and GIL Express. Maintain confidentiality of user records and transactions. Supervise the maintenance of the circulating collection.

·         Perform local administration functions for circulation, including calendar management, user records, notices, roles, and general configuration changes in Alma.

·         Oversee development of the library’s web presence, administer Springshare suite applications, and management of electronic resources.  Supervise the management of the library’s hardware and equipment inventory.

·         Supervise the performance of local administration functions for electronic resources, including access, technical support, remote authentication, OpenURL configurations, and usage statistics.

·         Maintain strong working relationships with campus departments, USG libraries, and GALILEO and GIL support teams. Work with electronic resource vendors regarding trials, pricing, contracts, invoicing, and interfaces including managing user authentication.

·         Ensure efficient and equitable access to library services and resources. Stay informed of relevant trends and technologies to improve services and to support goals of the department.

·         Communicate with students, faculty, and other libraries on behalf of the university.

·         Participate in the planning, evaluation, and assessment of library operations.

·         Contribute ideas for the promotion of the library to the university community including but not limited to programs, activities and services.

·         Serve as liaison librarian for an assigned academic department.
