The National Agricultural Library has two positions open for Supervisory Librarian, two opportunities on one posting.
 
The Branch Chiefs (2 positions) for
 
  1. the Digital Library Branch and
 
  1. the Information and Customer Services Branch
 
are open to

The Information Products Division creates customer-oriented products and user experiences that leverage the data and narrative content that the National Agricultural Library (NAL) collects and preserves. The mission of the Information Products Division (IPD) is to: (1) advance access and discovery in the agricultural sciences through online products and services; (2) create new products and services that improve access to scientific discoveries; and (3) evaluate and continuously improve information products and services offered by NAL. IPD programs and partnerships deliver scientific and technical information to a wide range of customers including scientists, educators, policy makers, public officials, business and industry, farmers, and the general public.

The Branch Chief for the Digital Library Branch is responsible for the enhancement of digital library programs, products, systems, and services within NAL, USDA, and the broader national and international agricultural community.

The Branch Chief for the Information & Customer Services Branch is responsible for policy making, planning, directing, and evaluating program requirements, activities, and functions of specialized scientific and technical information centers, programs, interagency web portals in strategic areas of agriculture, and the NAL customer service team.
