Please join us for the upcoming workshop of the National Dialogue on Highway Automation,
which will engage attendees in exploring the role of freight and logistics in safely and sustainably accommodating automated vehicles on the roadway network. The workshop is being held in Chicago, IL, at the
Hyatt Regency Chicago on
September 5-6, 2018. The workshop’s specific discussion topics will consider impacts on supply chain management, roadway geometrics, intermodalism, first and last mile delivery, e-commerce, and truck platooning.
Speakers and other workshop participants will include senior leadership from FHWA, the U.S. DOT and other national organizations.
During 2018, the National Dialogue on Highway Automation consists of five highly interactive workshops that are helping the Federal Highway Administration understand the implications
of automated vehicles for the roadway infrastructure systems and the many organizations that manage them. Workshops include discussions with government and industry leaders, breakout sessions, listening sessions and opportunities to collaborate with meeting
participants. Input received during the Dialogues is informing national research, policies, and programs, and supporting the development of a national transportation community around highway automation.
