Foodscaping 101- easy ways to grow bounty and beauty (covers the basics of foodscaping including mammal control and easy ways to grow food no matter how much space you have including hydro, vertical and containers.)

The Foodscape Revolution: sustainable strategies to make the most of your landscape (Covers perennial combinations and ecologically sound approaches for managing your land, including growing grains to improve soil, feed the native birds, and create habitat.)

she will also bring her books for sale and signing.  Master Gardener (and trained Chef) Dean Towers will provide light food refreshments and cold drinks.

Brie Arthur

Originally from southeastern Michigan, Brie Arthur studied Landscape Design and Horticulture at Purdue University.  With more than a decade of experience as a grower and propagator at leading nurseries such as Plant Delights and Camellia Forest, she now combines her passion for plants and sustainable land management by communicating the value of gardening across the US. Brie has been dubbed a revolutionary for her leadership in the suburban Foodscape movement and for her work with public schools. With her debut book The Foodscape Revolution <https://www.amazon.com/Foodscape-Revolution-Finding-Better-Beauty/dp/1943366187> becoming a best seller on Amazon, Brie looks forward to sharing gardening tips with audiences who are excited about the future of growing with ecological, economic and nutritional sensibility.

Brie is leading the national suburban Foodscape movement; a model of community development that incorporates sustainable, local food production. She speaks internationally on a variety of horticulture topics and is a correspondent on the PBS television show Growing A Greener World<http://www.growingagreenerworld.com/>.  As Vice President of Horticulture at Gardenuity<https://gardenuity.com/>, a direct to consumer on-line gardening company, Brie is able to use her plant knowledge and extensive grower network to reach consumers nationally.

In 2017 Brie was awarded the first ‘Emerging Professional’ distinction by the American Horticultural Society<http://www.ahsgardening.org/gardening-resources/gardening-publications/the-american-gardener/may-june-2017> and was named in GPN’s class of 2016 “40 under 40”<https://gpnmag.com/40-under-40/brie-arthur/>. Brie serves as GWA (Garden Writers of America<https://www.gardenwriters.org/>) National Director of Region IV representing garden communicators across the southeast US.  As founder of Emergent: A Group For Growing Professionals, Brie encourages an open dialogue and networking opportunities between seasoned professionals and rising green industry members. She sits on the Executive Committee for the International Plant Propagators<http://www.ipps.org/> Southern Region and is on the board of directors for the North Carolina Botanical Garden Foundation<http://ncbg.unc.edu/>. Her second book, Gardening with Grains published by St Lynn’s Press, will be available in 2019.
