The Cleveland State Community College seeks a Librarian who is collegial, innovative, self-motivated, and flexible individual to serve as the Collection Development/Metadata Librarian. Under the supervision of the Library Director, the librarian (1) provides leadership for building and maintaining collections across the curriculum, including selection and acquisition of print resources. (2) enables effective discovery of collections by performing cataloging based on current standards. (3) offers research assistance in person and virtual, and library instructional support to students, faculty, and staff. Instructional support will be for students taking classes at off-site locations and in online learning environments. As a member of a team of library professionals, this position serves as a liaison librarian to one or more academic units and will serve on library and institutional committees. This position will resolve complex issues that arise in the course of collections management and provide strategic direction for digitization projects. The successful candidate will have great organizational, analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, and planning skills.

Based on her/his skill set and the needs of the library, the incumbent will be assigned additional library responsibilities, including coordinating the CSCC Library’s involvement in the United States Federal Depository Library Program.
