The Nature Conservancy is expanding our team in western Maryland. Thank you for sharing this announcement within your networks and with any individuals who might be interested in the position of Forest Science Project Manager.
We are looking for a capable individual who can provide forestry and monitoring expertise, science leadership, and practical experience in collaborative forest management to the MD/DC Chapter and its Resilient Forest Program. Our new Forest Science Project Manager will develop and implement monitoring and forest management projects on Conservancy nature preserves in Western Maryland and contribute technical expertise to our engagement with other public and private forest managers. This position will work closely with a variety of Conservancy staff and external partners including scientists, state and private foresters, land managers and policy experts. The ideal candidate will be great at working with people and a passion for applying science to climate-smart forest management.
